Diana Sherifali is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at McMaster University. Her research interests include evidence-based diabetes practice and the implementation and evaluation of strategies for diabetes self-care at the patient, provider and population level. She has been funded by the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Institutes for Health Research and is currently leading a trial to evaluate the effect of a diabetes health coach on diabetes control and quality of life.
She has authored or co-authored over 30 papers and is currently a co-author on two chapters for the 2013 Canadian Diabetes Association's Clinical Practice guidelines. Finally, Diana is on the Editorial board of the Canadian Journal of Diabetes and has been an active volunteer of the Canadian Diabetes Association since 1998.
